We are looking for a Senior Product Manager & Stream Lead to lead a value stream within Data & Analytics and drive the development of new data products on a modern data platform.

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager & Stream Lead to lead a value stream within Data & Analytics and drive the development of new data products on a modern data platform. In this role, you will translate business needs into clear direction, roadmaps and prioritized backlogs, while working closely with the team throughout implementation to ensure the right priorities and outcomes. The role focuses on business-driven data products built on top of the data platform, rather than ownership of the platform itself. You will work closely with the Tech Lead / Engineering Manager, who is responsible for the technical implementation, while you own business needs, value, scope, prioritization and product decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture, analyze and concretize business needs together with business owners, users, information owners and stakeholders responsible for source systems.
• Translate business needs into clear goals, scope, data requirements, acceptance criteria and feasible features before solution design and implementation.
• Develop, align and continuously maintain the product roadmap and prioritized backlog based on business value, risk, dependencies, cost and team capacity.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and the Tech Lead / Engineering Manager throughout planning, specification and implementation.
• Take responsibility for prioritization, product decisions and trade-offs.
• Communicate goals, progress, risks, decisions and changes clearly to stakeholders.
• Follow up on demos, deliveries, product usage, impact and learnings after deployment.
• Drive continuous development and improvement of data products throughout their lifecycle.

About You

We are looking for a senior Product Manager who is comfortable operating between business, data and technology and who can bring structure and direction to complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager or equivalent role working with complex digital or data products.
• Proven experience leading the full product lifecycle, from identifying needs and defining requirements through roadmap development, backlog management, implementation, commissioning and further development.
• Strong ability to create alignment and consensus between business operations, management and technology within a larger organization with multiple dependencies and competing priorities.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, Tech Leads and Engineering Managers, with a clear understanding of the division between product management and technical implementation.
• Experience working with data products and their lifecycle, including areas such as:
  • Data quality
  • Metadata
  • Information ownership
  • Security and privacy
• Strong experience with agile planning and backlog management, preferably using Jira or an equivalent tool.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Databricks.
• Experience working with Power BI.
