Job summary

Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg seeks a postdoctoral researcher to advance a universal framework for robot communication in Human-Robot Interaction. You will join a team of experts and contribute to data collection, theory development, and empirical studies.

The role combines theory-driven research with real-world data collection, interdisciplinary collaboration with Linguistics and HRI, and potential teaching activities at undergraduate/master level.

Qualifications

• PhD in Human-Robot Interaction, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Robotics, Psychology, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal English.
• Experience in Human-Robot Interaction (publications, coursework, or conference participation).
• Interest in human-robot communication (publications preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; communicate progress clearly.
• Willingness to mentor junior group members.
• Excellent researcher: curious, critical, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Develop your own research profile by collaborating on existing projects and leading your own.
• Help and mentor PhD students in the project.
• Participate in regular group meetings and supervision of thesis work.
• Collaborate with PhD students and postdocs; engage in courses to strengthen your academic profile.
• Possibility to engage in teaching at undergraduate/master level.
