Luleå University of Technology invites applications for a two-year full-time Postdoctoral Researcher position in Process Metallurgy, focused on transforming gypsum into lime. Qualifications

PhD in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with pyrometallurgy, gypsum valorization and high-temperature processing.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Independently conduct experimental and theoretical work on gypsum valorization, including evaluation and reporting of results.
Perform laboratory-scale experiments (thermochemical gypsum conversion) and thermodynamic/kinetic modeling.
Characterize materials using XRD, SEM, and related methods; collaborate with industrial partners and contribute to publications and proposals.
Join a research team at LTU in Luleå and engage in trials with industry partners.
