Job summary

Chalmers University of Technology seeks a postdoctoral researcher to advance geometry-aware predictive maintenance. The project focuses on linking degradation to product requirements and Remaining Quality Life (RQL) in a machining-to-assembly demonstrator.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team, publishing results and contributing to education and supervision. The position is two years, with a possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• PhD in mechanical/production engineering or related field.
• Experience in modelling, simulation, data analysis or experimental methods.
• Strong analytical and collaborative skills; fluent in English for research.

Responsibilities

• Develop geometry-aware predictive maintenance methods and RQL concepts.
• Publish scientific papers and contribute to reproducible research.
• Supervise master’s students and participate in teaching up to 20%.
• Collaborate with project PIs and industrial partners to apply methods.
