Job summary

YORA in Gothenburg seeks a Platform Engineer to join a cross-functional team responsible for modern data platforms, infrastructure, and cloud-native technologies. You’ll implement secure on-prem solutions, manage Kubernetes clusters, and automate tasks with Python, contributing to reliable, scalable IT platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with software containers
• Strong experience with Kubernetes
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills
• Experience with configuration management
• Good understanding of system architecture
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages
• Experience working with infrastructure, operations, or platform engineering
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Very good communication skills in both Swedish and English
• Experience with Cloud Native technologies, ETL, or cloud-based data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric or Databricks is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical requirements into secure and reliable on-prem solutions
• Build, review, and manage container images hands-on
• Work extensively with Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Perform Linux/Unix system administration and troubleshooting
• Manage storage, users, groups, roles, and permissions
• Configure and troubleshoot virtual networks
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Python or other scripting languages
• Contribute to system architecture and configuration management
• Support users and independently troubleshoot technical issues
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, BI consultants, and other engineering roles
