Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment in Eskilstuna, Sweden, seeks a skilled engineer to lead plastic part design for operator environments. You will craft dashboards, panels, trims and storage solutions, turning concepts into manufacturable parts while balancing performance and cost.

You will work with CAD modelling and drawings, coordinate with suppliers, and support verification and tolerance studies, collaborating closely with our cab team worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastic part design within automotive/off-highway or mobile applications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, material selection, and design for assembly/cost.
• Experience in interior and exterior parts and surface modelling is a strong advantage.
• Familiar with CAD and PLM tools and a technical development environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of plastic parts such as dashboards, panels, trims, and consoles.
• CAD modeling, drawings, and translating A surfaces to B surfaces; supplier interfaces.
• Support verification activities, tolerance investigations and continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with the cab team and other functions globally.
