Job summary

AMD is seeking a senior AI engineer to build and ship production AI models and training pipelines for robotics and autonomous systems. You will design, train, and scale multimodal foundation models and contribute to open‑source codebases to accelerate adoption.

You will collaborate with AI engineering, product, and research teams across Europe and globally to translate research insights into practical, production‑ready solutions, with a focus on scalable deployment.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field with 3+ years industry experience.
• Experience building robotics, perception, or autonomous systems pipelines.
• Strong foundation in deep learning for perception and embodied decision-making.
• Hands-on experience with vision and multimodal foundation models (ViT, CLIP, DINO, LLaVA) and VLAs (OpenVLA, Pi-0.5).
• Experience using simulation environments and RL/IL techniques to train and evaluate embodied agents.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production AI models and training pipelines for robotics and autonomous systems.
• Design, train, and scale large multimodal foundation models and related perception systems.
• Develop and contribute to open-source codebases and reference implementations to accelerate adoption.
• Advance the state of the art through publications and open model/code releases.
