2550 Engineering AB is looking for an experienced Senior Software/Embedded Engineer to join their innovative consultancy team in Gothenburg. You will lead development and maintenance of embedded software components, working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with skilled engineers across diverse projects.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in C++, Python, and embedded systems, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The position offers opportunities for technical and personal growth in a supportive environment.

• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in embedded software and/or systems development.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Python, and/or Signal Processing.
• Experience in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of embedded platforms and real-time constraints.
• Experience with Linux and version control.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.

Role and responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of embedded software components using C++, Python and/or Linux
• Architect and optimise software for performance, reliability and low-level hardware interaction
• Integrate software with hardware platforms and support system bring-up
• Write and maintain clear documentation, tests and validation procedures
• Mentor junior colleagues and foster best practices in code quality and development workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers and stakeholders to deliver project goals

What we're always on the lookout for

• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in Embedded software and/or Systems development
• Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and/or Signal Processing
• Experience in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
• Solid understanding of Embedded platforms, real-time constraints and hardware interfaces
• Experience with Linux, version control and continuous integration workflows
• Understanding and willing to deep dive into AI, ML and DL
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
• Fluent in English and Swedish language (spoken & written)
• Located in Gothenburg or nearby
• Swedish Citizenship
