Job summary

Irish Data Centre Main Contractor seeks an experienced OFCI Manager to oversee Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed equipment on a major data centre project in Gävle, Sweden. You will drive procurement, installation, testing and commissioning, coordinating with vendors, subcontractors and the OFCI team to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with the construction programme.

The role requires an electrical engineering degree and 7+ years with an M&E contractor, plus strong vendor management

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' experience with an M&E contractor on large scale construction projects.
• Proven experience managing complex equipment packages from design through commissioning.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, vendor coordination and programme delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage OFCI equipment packages from procurement through installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate client-appointed vendors, subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
• Oversee equipment delivery schedules, logistics, storage and installation requirements.

Package: Up to €135,000 gross salary equivalent including allowances + 17/4 or 5/1 rotation + solo accommodation + vehicle

The Company

This Irish main contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering large scale data centre projects across Ireland and mainland Europe, managing complex developments from design and construction through to commissioning and handover.

With a strong pipeline of European data centre projects, they are looking for an experienced OFCI Manager to oversee critical equipment packages on a major development in Gävle, Sweden.

The Role: OFCI Manager

As OFCI Manager, you will take responsibility for managing Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed equipment packages from procurement and delivery through installation, testing and commissioning.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Engineering, Planning and Commissioning teams, you will coordinate client-appointed vendors, subcontractors and the OFCI team to ensure equipment is delivered safely, to specification and in line with the construction programme.

This is a senior site-based position with responsibility for equipment logistics, technical coordination, programme delivery and vendor management.

Must Have Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 7 years' experience with an M&E contractor on large scale construction projects
• Proven experience managing complex equipment packages from design through commissioning
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, vendor coordination and programme delivery

Preferred Experience

• Data centre or mission critical construction experience
• Previous OFCI or electrical package management experience
• Experience coordinating client-appointed equipment vendors and specialist subcontractors
• Strong commercial awareness and client communication skills

• Previous data centre experience would be particularly beneficial, especially involving client-supplied electrical equipment, vendor management and commissioning coordination.
• You should be comfortable managing multiple equipment packages, resolving technical issues and working directly with clients, specialist vendors and site management teams to maintain programme delivery.
