Job summary

Vitrolife Group in Gothenburg, Sweden, seeks an Accounting Manager North Europe to lead the accounting team and ensure harmonized financial reporting for multiple entities. You will balance strategic oversight with hands-on monthly reporting and day-to-day tasks, driving improvements and ensuring compliance across borders.

The role reports to Head of Global Finance Operations and is onsite in Gothenburg, requiring fluent Swedish and English and a hands‑on leadership style.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proven successful leadership and team management experience.
• Approximately 10–15 years of experience in legal entity accounting in an international setting.
• Strong knowledge in legal entity accounting, Swedish GAAP (K3), compliance and tax accounting.
• Proven experience driving continuous process improvements.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably Jeeves.
• Problem solving and solution oriented.
• Communicative with strong stakeholder management.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of accountants, supporting growth and performance.
• Oversee all accounting operations (fixed assets, inventory, AR, AP, intercompany) for North Europe.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional and international accounting standards.
• Manage and prepare Statutory Accounts, Corporate Income Tax calculation, VAT filings.
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive digitalization and efficiency.
• Lead and coordinate activities with Auditors, advisors and authorities.
