Job summary

Hitachi Vantara Corporation in Gothenburg, Sweden is seeking a skilled backend engineer to be part of the Client's product team. You will play a vital role in developing the next generation of vehicle software configuration solutions, ensuring system reliability and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of backend engineering experience and expertise in .NET, C#, and microservices architecture. A strong emphasis on team collaboration and mentoring is essential, as well as a commitment to clean, maintainable code.

Description

You will be a part of Client's product team and play a key role in building the next generation of vehicle software configuration solutions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications (Must-have)

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of backend engineering experience; 2-3 years in an architectural role.
• Expert knowledge in .NET / .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with GitHub, Kubernetes, SQL.
• Experience with Entity Framework or NHibernate.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.

Core qualities:

• Deep expertise in C# and .NET (.NET 6/7/8, ASP.NET Core)
• Very strong understanding of CLR, memory management, async/await, threading, performance
• Hands‑on experience building production‑scale APIs, services, and applications
• Comfortable with legacy .NET Framework as well as modern .NET
• Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code

Meritorious Experience (Nice-to-have)

• Azure Cloud services (Application Insights, Azure SQL, App Services)
• Docker and container orchestration
• Experience owning both development and operational support.
