Job summary

Qvantum Energi Aktiebolag i Sverige söker en Mechanical Engineering Manager som leder vår mekaniska designproduktion inom värmepump-produkter. Rollen kräver hands-on ledarskap och tät samverkan med utvecklings- och tillverkningsfunktioner för att driva projekt från idé till kommersiell lansering.

Du har civilingenjör i mekanik, minst 10 års erfarenhet av mekanisk produktutveckling inom heat pump/HVAC, samt minst 3 år i ledande roll. God vana vid CAD och PLM samt flytande engelska krävs.

Qualifications

• Civilingenjör i mekanik eller liknande med fokus på design och produktutveckling.
• Minst 10 års erfarenhet av mekanisk produktutveckling inom värmepump/HVAC eller liknande.
• Minst 3 års ledarskapserfarenhet i teknisk miljö.
• Erfarenhet av design för industriellt massproducerade produkter och användning av CAD/PLM.
• Flytande engelska i tal och skrift.

Responsibilities

• Leda och koordinera mekanisk designteamet i pågående utvecklingsprojekt.
• Driva utvecklingsprocessen från koncept till industrialisering och kommersiell lansering.
• Ge teknisk vägledning i designgranskningar och tekniska beslut.
• Samarbeta nära System-, Industrial-, Project Management-, Manufacturing-, Quality och externa leverantörer.
• Säkerställa att designer uppfyller prestanda, tillförlitlighet, tillverkbarhet, kostnad och kvalitet.
• Stödja kontinuerlig förbättring av metoder, verktyg och arbetssätt.
• Fungera som mentor och teknisk coach för teammedlemmar.
• Stödja kompetensutveckling och rekrytering vid behov.

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate our team of Mechanical Design Engineers within heat pump product development. This is a hands-on leadership role combining engineering, coordination, technical leadership, and team development while remaining close to the products, technology, and daily engineering work. The team consists of experienced engineers, meaning your role is less focused on enabling successful delivery, providing technical guidance, removing obstacles, and ensuring alignment across projects and engineering disciplines.

You will work closely with System Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Refrigeration, Electronics, Software, Project Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and external suppliers to ensure successful development and industrialization of next-generation heat pump solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Mechanical Design Engineering team across ongoing development projects and assignments.
• Drive the end-to-end product development process from concept and design through validation, industrialization, and commercial launch.
• Provide technical guidance and support in mechanical design reviews, engineering decisions, and problem-solving activities.
• Collaborate closely with System Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers.
• Ensure designs meet requirements for performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and quality.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering methods, tools, standards, and ways of working.
• Act as mentor and technical coach to team members.
• Support competence development, recruitment, and onboarding activities when needed.

Desired qualifications & experience

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical product development in heat pump, HVAC, refrigeration, or similar products
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial, team leader, or technical leadership role.
• Proven experience in mechanical design engineering for industrialized and mass-produced products.
• Experience leading development projects from concept phase through industrialization and product launch.
• Knowledge of CAD and PLM systems.
• Pragmatic and hands-on leadership with strong technical credibility.
• Solution-oriented communicator with the ability to drive progress in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced collaborator with the ability to align cross-functional teams towards common goals.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
