Do you want to bring your material skills to the next level?

An exciting opportunity opens within Base Materials Polymer Technology. We are looking for a Material Engineer, that will have a key role in developing supplier related capabilities, to support Tetra Pak’s ambitions in quality and sustainability.

At Base Materials, we secure supply of sustainable, safe, price-competitive base materials at the required quality level for our factories and customers. We also support and contribute to base material innovation, addressing sustainability challenges.

The position is permanent, based in Lund and will include some travelling. You will be part of the Tetra Pak central Supplier Management organization, responsible for the paperboard technical supplier management. You will be reporting to the Polymer Technology manager.

What You Will Do

You will be part of the Tetra Pak central organization, responsible for the base material supplier management and documentation management. You will collaborate with Suppliers - driving and supporting projects, issue resolution and improvement activities as well as material compliance to regulations. You will also be in contact with key internal and external stakeholders across different functional and international borders.

Focus Areas
  • Supplier Management: Manage technical relationships with suppliers, ensuring good communication and collaboration, through audits ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
  • Specification Management: Understand impact on specification portfolio from evolving customer demands, ensure supplier compliance to specifications, and push for supplier quality improvement
  • Project Management: Drive projects & support the project organisation in qualification of new or modified base materials.
We believe you have
  • You have a relevant university degree at a master’s level.
  • Solid knowledge about polymer industry and related technologies, or packaging material industry.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role

As a person you are analytical, structured, a good communicator and have excellent spoken as well as written English skills. You have a preference to collaborate and ability to manage internal and external relationships. You can deal with ambiguity & continuous change and actively share knowledge with others.
