Job summary

Volvo Penta is seeking an experienced M&A Investment Director to shape and execute the group’s M&A agenda, identifying opportunities, leading transaction projects and supporting long-term value creation.

You will work closely with the CEO, CFO and Executive Team, applying solid analytical capabilities and a pragmatic, business-driven approach to post-acquisition activities such as integration and portfolio governance.

Qualifications

  • Experience from M&A, preferably from another industrial company.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including valuation and business case development.
  • Experience with transaction processes and working in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Clear and confident communication skills in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the consolidation and prioritisation of the Volvo Penta M&A pipeline, based on strategic direction and market insights.
  • Lead or support transaction processes, including target evaluation, due diligence, negotiations and integration, together with stakeholders in the Volvo Penta organisation and in the Volvo Group M&A team.
  • Perform financial analysis, valuation and business case development.
  • Prepare clear, insightful materials for Executive Team and Board discussions.
  • Contribute to post-acquisition follow-up, integration and long-term value creation.
  • Support strategic planning and portfolio development, in close collaboration with senior stakeholders.

The Role

As M&A Investment Director, you will play an active role in shaping and executing Volvo Penta’s M&A agenda, from identifying opportunities and leading transaction projects to supporting long‑term value creation. You will work closely with the CEO, CFO and Executive Team, combining solid analytical capabilities with a pragmatic, business‑driven approach. You have hands‑on experience with M&A transactions, and particularly valuable experiences would be post‑M&A activities such as portfolio governance, integration, and value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relevant experience from M&A, preferably from another industrial company
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including valuation and business case development
  • Experience with transaction processes and working in multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Clear and confident communication skills in Swedish and English
  • A curious, collaborative, and solution‑oriented mindset
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel
  • A relevant academic degree, for example in Finance, Business, Industrial Engineering, or similar
