Job summary

OHB Sweden AB is seeking an experienced MTP Systems Engineer to lead the propulsion subsystem development from concept through qualification and production. You will coordinate propulsion, thermal, mechanical, and structural engineering teams to deliver optimized solutions for spacecraft propulsion systems.

The role emphasizes systems engineering, technical leadership, and collaboration with customers and suppliers across Europe.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience developing spacecraft or in-orbit propulsion systems.
• Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Technical ownership of propulsion subsystems across full development lifecycle.
• Define solutions with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Coordinate propulsion, mechanical, thermal, and structural disciplines to ensure interfaces and requirements are met.
• Lead technical trade studies and engineering decisions.
• Support customer meetings, reviews, and proposal activities.
• Balance technical performance, schedule, cost, and risk with project managers.
• Mentor engineers within the multidisciplinary team.
