Job summary

Stegra is seeking an experienced LMF & RH Lead to join the Caster Production team within Steel Operations at our Boden site in Northern Sweden. You will act as the technical expert for Ladle Metallurgical Furnace and RH Vacuum Degasser, guiding safe, stable and efficient production.

You’ll work closely with production, maintenance and process engineering to troubleshoot challenges, optimize processes and develop our teams through hands-on coaching and knowledge sharing, contributing to a

Qualifications

Degree in metallurgy or metallurgical engineering or related field.
Hands-on experience in LMF/LMF and RH Vacuum Degassing operations.
Strong understanding of secondary refining processes and stabilization.
Experience developing operational standards and continuous improvement (PDCA).
Experience collaborating with maintenance on equipment reliability and PMs.
Knowledge of safety requirements in heavy industry.
Collaborative, coaching mindset in multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

Act as technical expert for LMF and RH operations, supporting daily production and improvements.
Monitor and optimize LMF/RH performance to improve safety, stability and quality.
Develop and implement operational standards and best practices.
Lead fault finding, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor equipment condition and coordinate with Maintenance on PMs and shutdowns.
Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to operators and colleagues.
Collaborate across Production, Maintenance and Process Engineering to drive improvement.
