Job summary

Ericsson R&D seeks a Master’s thesis student to design and build an ITSAC Automation Agent (IAA) prototype that helps teams prepare assessment artefacts. It combines workflow orchestration with AI agents, under human review and approved security controls.

You will study Ericsson ITSAC/ITSA/ITCA processes, implement a prototype, and demonstrate it on pilot solutions, documenting architecture, risks, and future recommendations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in computer science, information security, software engineering, data science, or related field.
• Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or similar language.
• Interest in cybersecurity, secure software engineering, AI/LLMs, and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab, CI/CD, security assessments, or n8n is an advantage.
• Work systematically, independently, and communicate clearly in English.
• Suitable for 1-2 students.

Responsibilities

• Study Ericsson ITSAC/ITSA/ITCA processes and internal requirements.
• Design and implement a prototype to support selected assessment tasks.
• Integrate approved AI tools with source-code, pipeline, and document systems (GitLab, SharePoint).
• Implement safeguards: input/output filtering, access controls, logging, human approvals.
• Demonstrate prototype on R&D pilot solutions; evaluate accuracy and security alignment.
• Document architecture, results, risks, limitations, and future recommendations.
