Job summary

Orica Sweden AB is seeking an IT Specialist to join the Regional Core Technology Operations team in Gyttorp. You will serve as a trusted first point of contact for operational IT support, ensuring reliable and secure technology services across Nordic locations and multiple sites.

Responsibilities include resolving incidents, maintaining infrastructure, coordinating assets and vendors, and driving continuous improvement with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant IT qualifications, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in IT Operations, infrastructure support, and troubleshooting Microsoft technologies and end-user systems.
• Strong incident, service, and stakeholder management skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with distributed environments, networking technologies, and ITIL practices.
• Experience working with vendors or managed service providers, with relevant qualifications or practical IT experience.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused IT Specialist to join our Regional Core Technology Operations team in Gyttorp.

This role sits at the heart of our technology operations, providing essential support across multiple sites and office locations throughout our Nordic region.

As an IT Specialist, you will act as a trusted first point of contact for operational IT support while helping ensure technology services remain reliable, secure and effective. You'll work closely with business users, technical teams, service providers, and vendors to support infrastructure, manage incidents and requests, coordinate technology lifecycle activities, and drive continuous improvement.

What you will be doing

• Deliver IT support by resolving incidents, service requests, and technical issues.
• Support infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, changes, and cybersecurity compliance.

• Developing and delivering differentiated products and service offerings.
• Drive continuous improvement through problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and operational excellence.

What you will bring

• Relevant IT qualifications, certifications, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in IT Operations, infrastructure support, and troubleshooting Microsoft technologies and end-user systems
• Strong incident, service, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting distributed environments, with knowledge of networking technologies and ITSM/ITIL practices
• Experience working with vendors or managed service providers, supported by relevant qualifications or practical IT experience
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, Norwegian and/or Finnish language would be meritorious
