Job summary

Information Security Engineer – JAS39Gripen / GlobalEye

At Saab you help design and develop advanced fighter aircraft and other aeronautics platforms. This role ensures that our systems meet stringent information security requirements throughout the entire development lifecycle. You work closely with design teams and system architects, influencing security decisions from early concept to final implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze information security requirements for systems and their operational environments
• Translate security needs into clear, actionable system requirements
• Define security architecture and design principles for subsystems and platforms
• Review, assess and validate security functions across subsystems
• Support development teams in implementing secure design solutions
• Act as a technical representative within your domain towards customers and regulatory authorities

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English (spoken and written)
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams and disciplines
• High level of flexibility and cultural awareness
• Security clearance required due to the nature of the work in the defense domain

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering or system architecture
• Experience working with Swedish defense authorities (FMV, FM MUST)
• Experience with GripenE/F or similar complex aerospace systems
• Experience in technical leadership roles
