Job summary

Scania is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join a small production unit in Södertälje. You will influence technology, processes, and business results with a high degree of ownership, collaborating closely with production, maintenance and suppliers to deliver robust solutions.

The role welcomes candidates at various experience levels and emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong technical interest; production engineering experience is an advantage.
• Experience leading or contributing to projects.
• Interest in IT-related solutions.
• Excellent communication in Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems cross-functionally with production, quality, logistics, maintenance, engineering and IT.
• Procure and install new equipment, and modify existing equipment.
• Adapt production processes for new or modified products.
• Lead and deliver improvement projects for production processes.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and justify new investments.
• Provide technical support to production in daily operations.
