Job summary

Olympus Corporation is seeking a dedicated legal/compliance professional to join our regional team in Solna. You will draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and provide pragmatic legal guidance to support business decisions.

You will help implement and monitor compliance programs, assist with healthcare regulations and anti-corruption requirements, and contribute to ESG initiatives across Europe in collaboration with our headquarters and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent; candidates with related discipline plus relevant experience will be considered
• Compliance qualification from a recognised body is advantageous but not essential
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in in-house legal/compliance or law firm environment
• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical or life sciences industry preferred
• Knowledge of anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws and healthcare compliance regulations
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• Integrity, professionalism and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
• Ability to work independently and take ownership, while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the region

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts including NDAs, R&D, licence, supply and distribution agreements
• Provide timely, pragmatic legal advice directly to the business and manage legal risk
• Support implementation and monitoring of the compliance framework and guidance materials
• Assist with healthcare industry code compliance and anti-corruption requirements
• Support third-party risk management including due diligence and contractual safeguards
• Maintain accurate legal and compliance records and contract registers
• Provide corporate governance support to legal entities in the region
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefing materials on regulatory developments
• Coordinate and deliver legal/compliance training for employees and third parties
• Collaborate with European HQ and Compliance teams on ESG matters
