Job summary

Cue Dee AB, a Nordic leader in telecom infrastructure, seeks a Head of Product Development to lead the technical roadmap and build a new product portfolio for 6G readiness. You’ll start hands-on with the current R&D manager and, within 6–12 months, fully lead the function and join the management team in Stockholm.

Based in Kista, you will travel to Umeå and Poland (15–20 days/year) to meet customers, production teams, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience leading a team of engineers or product developers.
• Relevant technical degree with track record in mechanical product development and manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of structural design, materials, manufacturing methods (steel and aluminum).
• Solid understanding of structural engineering and load-bearing concepts for rooftop installations.
• Accountable, pragmatic, business-minded; prioritize safety, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Fluent English; Swedish language is a strong asset.

We design, develop, and supply optimized steel and aluminum structures, both standard and customized, for telecom sites and rooftop applications worldwide.

We are looking for our new Head of Product Development. This is a structured succession role: you will start hands-on alongside our current R&D Manager. Within 6-12 months, you will fully take over the function, join the Management Team, report directly to the CEO, and take on formal responsibility for your own team of senior and junior designers.

The Mission: Technical Leadership, develop new products for the infrastructure for 6G Innovation

This role is heavily weighted toward structural technology and design, giving you the mandate to shape our technical roadmap as the world prepares for the implementation of 6G.

• Design for Manufacture: Drive mechanical and structural product development from raw requirements to market-ready products. You ensure that what you and the team design can be manufactured efficiently.
• Commercial Acumen: You apply your technical expertise to lay the strategic and technical groundwork for new deals, providing our sales team with the perfect product foundation to close agreements. You need to be business driven and open to meeting and understanding customers to industrialize the customer needs into our new product portfolio.
• Presence & Travel: Your base is in Kista, but you will visit our other office outside Umeå and our team in Poland. Travel is primarily within Sweden and Europe (approx. 15-20 days per year) to meet customers, production teams, and suppliers.

Who You Are

You are a sharp mechanical engineer with leadership experience who wants to make a real business impact. Telecom industry experience is welcomed but not required for this role. We place great value on strong engineering expertise in areas such as structural design, mechanics, and materials engineering. At the same time, we believe that experience from other industries can bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and valuable expertise that strengthen our team and drive continuous improvement.

• Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading and coaching a smaller group of engineers or product developers.
• The Foundation: A relevant technical degree or engineering background, combined with a solid track record in mechanical product development and manufacturing.
• The Tech & Material Edge: Knowledge in structural design and in materials, manufacturing methods, materials and particularly steel and aluminum.
• Building/Structural Mindset: Since our products are installed in demanding environments (often on existing building rooftops), a solid understanding of structural engineering, load-bearing structures, or building technology is an advantage.
• The Mindset: Accountable, pragmatic, and business-minded. You avoid unnecessary overengineering and focus on safety, compliance, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Language: Fluent English. Swedish is a strong asset.
