Swedbank Pay is seeking a Head of Operational Risk & Resilience in Stockholm to lead first-line risk management, BCM, CMT, internal controls, and enterprise governance. You will oversee regulatory reporting, strengthen risk and control frameworks, and safeguard essential services and reputation across a regulated environment.

The role requires leadership experience, hands-on risk guidance, and a proactive approach to drive governance and reporting culture.

• Oversee and strengthen frameworks for risk, controls, and processes to support regulatory expectations.
• Ensure regulatory reporting is accurate, complete, timely, and aligned with underlying frameworks.
• Maintain consistency between reported data and actual risk, control, and process environments.
• Drive continuous improvement of governance, reporting, and operational resilience practices.

Swedbank Pay is looking for a Head of Operational Risk & Resilience to be responsible for leading first-line Operational Risk Management, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Crisis Management (CMT), Internal Control, Enterprise Process Governance, and oversight of regulatory reporting.

This is a role for someone who wants to influence how an entire organisation thinks about risk and resilience, safeguard essential services and reputation, and turn regulatory demands into a strategic advantage.

More About The Position

• Lead and coordinate a small team of subject matter experts to support operational resilience and compliance
• Ensure operations are compliant, resilient, sustainable, and effective in line with regulatory requirements, including DORA
• Oversee and strengthen frameworks for risk, controls, and processes to support regulatory expectations
• Ensure regulatory reporting is accurate, complete, timely, and aligned with underlying frameworks
• Maintain consistency between reported data and actual risk, control, and process environments
• Drive continuous improvement of governance, reporting, and operational resilience practices

We are looking for someone that has:

• Relevant leadership experience with documented personnel responsibility
• Strong ability to structure, guide, and provide hands-on support in risk and control activities
• Proven experience in proactively identifying, assessing, documenting, and following up on risks
• Experience in managing and remediating regulatory gaps and findings, including those identified through regulatory reporting
• Solid understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and their linkage to risk, control, and process frameworks
• Ability to drive accountability, transparency, and a strong risk and reporting culture across an organisation
• Experience working with business-critical services, assets, and value chains in a regulated environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to ensure clear ownership of risk, continuity, process, and reporting responsibilities
• High level of integrity and ability to safeguard organisational reputation through effective governance and risk management
• To succeed in this role, you need to be able to communicate effortlessly in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
