Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB in Sweden is seeking two project engineers to join the Harmonic Analysis team within HVDC. You will perform harmonic studies below 15 kHz and support commissioning tests, evaluating compliance and proposing mitigation.

You'll develop tools in MATLAB, Python, and Excel to handle large data sets, and you will engage in technical discussions with customers and suppliers while writing clear technical reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Foundation in electrical power systems and power electronics.
• Ability to model circuits in frequency domain.
• Experience with multi-phase system analysis using modes.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Python is valued.

Responsibilities

• Conduct harmonic studies below 15 kHz for HVDC converter stations.
• Evaluate harmonic power quality requirements feasibility.
• Analyze small-signal stability in harmonic range for HVDC connections.
• Propose mitigation measures such as filters or dampers.
• Develop data analysis tools in Excel, MATLAB, or Python.
• Prepare clear technical reports and present findings.
• Engage in technical discussions with colleagues and customers.
