Job summary

Perido is assisting a forward-thinking automotive company in Gothenburg to hire a Group Accountant. You will join the Group Accounting team, supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and delivering high-quality financial data to internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will ensure IFRS compliance across the group, assist with consolidation, reporting, and analysis, and collaborate with subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in finance, with 2-3 years in group accounting and financial reporting
• Experience for listed companies and IFRS reporting
• Experience with consolidation and month-end/year-end close
• Proficiency in Excel for analysis

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual group closings, including consolidation entries
• Collaborate with subsidiaries and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate financial submissions
• Perform financial analysis and prepare documentation for internal and external reporting
• Assist in external IFRS financial reports, including notes and disclosures
• Maintain consolidation data and ensure consistency across group entities
• Contribute to development and documentation of group accounting policies and processes
• Participate in projects related to reporting improvements and system enhancements
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required audit evidence and explanations

We are now looking for a Group Accountant to join an exciting company in the automotive industry. In this role, you will be part of the Group Accounting team and contribute to high-quality financial reporting, closing processes and continuous improvements across the Group.

About the position

We at Perido are now looking for a Group Accountant for our client, an exciting and forward-thinking company in the automotive industry. The company is based in Gothenburg where this position is located. As part of the Group Accounting team, you will support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality financial data to internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure consistent application of accounting principles across the Group and assist with financial analysis, adjustments, and reporting processes.

Your daily tasks

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual group closing processes, including preparation and validation of consolidation entries
• Collaborate with subsidiaries and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial submissions
• Perform financial analysis and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external reporting
• Assist in the preparation of external IFRS financial reports, including notes and disclosures for quarterly and annual filings
• Maintain consolidation system data and ensure consistency and accuracy across group entities
• Contribute to the development and documentation of group accounting policies and processes
• Participate in projects related to group accounting, reporting improvements, and system enhancements
• Coordinate with auditors and assist in delivering required audit evidence and explanation.
• Proactively identify and suggest improvements to group accounting procedures and controls

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in finance, preferable within a global corporate accounting function or from an audit firm of which 2-3 years of specific Group accounting experience with Financial reporting
• Experience to compliance and reporting for listed companies is a must
• Experience to SOX compliance and reporting requirements for U.S.-listed companies is advantageous
• A university degree in Business Administration (major in finance or accounting) or equivalent
• Solid understanding of IFRS accounting standards and familiarity with group consolidation principles
• Experience in preparing financial reports and working with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting tasks
• Experience working with consolidation systems; AARO experience is a strong advantage
• Fluency in English for both written and spoken communication

Contract type and hours

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2027-03-31. Start asap.
