Job description

Led by an experienced management team and supported by a strong investor group, including large and experienced institutions and strategic partners, EdgeConneX offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment where we are bringing flexibility, proximity, power, and connectivity to some of the world’s key businesses. With major offices in Herndon, Denver, Amsterdam, Singapore and Malaysia, we have a global footprint and a unified team of employees committed to providing a premier customer experience and delivering the full spectrum of data center solutions, from core to edge, like no other data center provider can do.

Focused on driving innovation and helping our customers define and deliver their own unique vision for the Edge, at any scale, in any market worldwide, for any requirement, we are building tomorrow’s data center infrastructure, today for some of the world’s most demanding Network, Content, and Cloud customers.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Power Infrastructure & Grid Delivery Manager to join our Site & Energy Development EMEA team. This is a delivery‑critical role responsible for securing and delivering connections for large‑scale hyperscale data centre campuses across multiple European markets.

You will own the end‑to‑end grid interconnection process — from early utility engagement through to energisation — acting as the single point of contact for all utility interfaces on assigned projects. This includes connection agreements, technical compliance, grid code navigation, and delivery against programme milestones. You will work directly with TSOs, DSOs, regulators, and authorities, and will act as the connective thread across cross‑functional internal teams spanning development, construction, engineering, legal, and commercial — aligning priorities, surfacing dependencies, and keeping complex programmes moving as one.

The role demands a collaborative leader as much as a technical one. You will work across internal teams — development, construction, engineering, legal, and commercial — to drive shared outcomes, coordinate around common objectives, and ensure grid delivery is embedded in the broader programme rather than running in parallel to it. This requires solid technical grounding in power infrastructure, the ability to build trusted relationships both internally and with grid operators across different regulatory environments, and the commercial judgment to manage risk and elevate effectively. You will manage external consultants and legal counsel, and will lead the development of power delivery playbooks and processes to support EdgeConneX's broader programme execution.

What You'll Do
  • Lead HV/MV grid connection projects across EMEA, from initial feasibility through to energisation, ensuring key milestones are achieved.
  • Manage grid connection processes, including capacity assessments, applications, technical studies, connection agreements, and construction coordination with TSO/DSO operators.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with TSO/DSO operators on technical, commercial, and regulatory matters throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure grid delivery aligns with overall campus development and construction programmes.
  • Oversee grid connection designs to ensure compatibility between EdgeConneX infrastructure, TSO/DSO requirements, and applicable grid codes.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, and critical dependencies across the EMEA portfolio.
  • Identify and mitigate grid connection risks, proactively resolving challenges and exploring opportunities to accelerate delivery.
  • Support commercial negotiations, connection agreements, and investment decisions with technical and commercial input.
  • Provide regular progress updates and risk assessments to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Develop standardised processes, playbooks, and best practices to improve grid delivery efficiency across EMEA.
Qualifications
  • Required
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
    • 5+ years of experience delivering grid connection, power infrastructure, or complex multi‑stakeholder infrastructure projects.
    • Demonstrated experience managing utility or infrastructure interfaces across the full project lifecycle, from application through to energisation.
    • Proven track record of working effectively across cross‑functional internal teams — including commercial, legal, engineering, and construction — to deliver complex programmes.
    • Working knowledge of European grid connection frameworks and TSO/DSO regulatory environments in the Nordic market.
    • Strong programme management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Willingness to travel across the Nordics as required by project demands (peak 50%).
  • Preferred
    • Experience working in data centres, hyperscale infrastructure, or mission‑critical facilities.
    • Direct experience with TSO/DSO connection processes in two or more Nordic markets.
    • Familiarity with grid codes across various Nordic markets.
    • Experience on large‑scale (100 MW+) grid connection projects.
    • Experience developing process frameworks, playbooks, or operating procedures in an infrastructure or utilities context.
    • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
    • Master's degree (MSc Engineering, MBA, or equivalent).
    • Proficiency in one or more Nordic languages.
