Job summary

Arm's GPU Safety team seeks a skilled Functional Safety Engineer to deliver safety concepts, analyses and work products for automotive, robotics and safety-critical applications.

You will collaborate with architecture, hardware development, verification and software teams to implement ISO 26262 processes and safety requirements across the product lifecycle, driving continuous improvements in safety methodologies.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of computer architecture and modern SoC design principles.
• Knowledge of functional safety concepts and standards, particularly ISO 26262.
• Experience in RTL design of complex ASICs, IPs or SoCs.
• Experience with safety analysis techniques such as DFMEA, DFA, FTA, or FMEDA.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review functional safety work products in accordance with ISO 26262.
• Create and maintain Safety Plans, Safety Cases, Safety Manuals and related documentation.
• Perform safety analyses including FMEA, DFA, FTA and FMEDA.
• Support hardware and software teams in deriving and implementing safety requirements.
• Write, review and manage safety requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in Functional Safety audits, assessments and reviews.
• Support tool qualification activities where required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Arm's Functional Safety methodologies and processes.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to ensure safety objectives are successfully achieved.
