Job summary

Avanza Bank is seeking a passionate Fullstack Software Engineer with a strong frontend emphasis on Angular and a solid Java foundation. About The Role

As a Fullstack Engineer, you will join one of our 45 agile teams, taking end-to-end ownership of your work—from the initial idea to ensuring your code runs reliably in production. For this role, we are looking for an experienced frontend developer or a full-stack developer with a clear focus and passion for frontend development.

In Your Day-to-day Work, You Will

• Own the full stack: Design and develop scalable web applications in a microservices architecture, focusing on responsive interfaces in Angular and robust business logic in Java.
• Collaborate deeply: We strongly believe in pair and mob programming to share knowledge, improve code quality, and solve complex problems together.
• Shape our technology: Use your expertise to actively contribute to design processes and architectural decisions.
• Shape the way we work tomorrow (AI‑first): You have an interest in AI and, in this role, you will actively contribute to continuously improving the interaction between people, AI, and our codebase. You will help define the standards for how AI can drive efficiency and quality in our work.
• Work cross-functionally: Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Data Analysts to create seamless, optimized user journeys.

We believe that you

• Have proven experience as a Software Engineer with in-depth knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (primarily Angular), combined with a solid foundation in Java.
• Have strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/ TypeScript.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and an appreciation for close collaboration with non-developers, such as designers and analysts.
• Experience building and maintaining applications in complex production environments, with a strong focus on clean, testable, and well-structured code.
• Have hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and a curiosity to explore how AI can enhance our work.

Experience within Fintech, Martech, or a particular interest in UX is a plus.
