Job summary

PostNord is seeking an experienced Solution Architect in Stockholm to shape cloud-based API solutions and the future of digital shipping services. You will collaborate with the Booking API team and cross-area architects to design scalable, reliable architectures and hands-on contributions in the Booking API area.

In this role you’ll influence architectural decisions, guide teams, and drive continuous improvement while keeping a strong focus on customer value.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud technologies and API development.
• Academic degree in IT or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent Swedish and English.
• Experience in logistics is a plus.

What You Will Do With Us

You will join Sender Solutions within Customer Solutions at PostNord Group IT. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Booking API team and other teams across Sender Solutions to define architecture that meets today’s business needs while preparing for tomorrow’s opportunities. Our solutions must meet high expectations for reliability, scalability, and efficiency, supporting both our customers and our long-term technology strategy.

Your role in brief

• Shape the design and architecture of digital shipping solutions in close collaboration with the tech lead, product owner, and colleagues in the team.
• Spend part of your time contributing hands-on as a system developer in the Booking API team, maintaining deep solution knowledge and staying closely connected to the team’s day-to-day work.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of large-scale solutions and integrations with complex dependencies.
• Represent Sender Solutions in cross-area architecture forums, working closely with tech leads across the area.
• Support product owners and teams in dialogue with major customers.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement to deliver solutions that meet evolving customer needs.

You will join a skilled team of around ten developers working across both back-end and front-end development. You will work closely with the team’s product owner, and your immediate manager will be Annika Dahlström. The team uses technologies such as:

• AWS Microservices / Serverless.
• NodeJS / JavaScript / TypeScript / Java
• DynamoDB, Postgres, SQS, IAM, OAuth2, Fargate, S3, Elasticsearch, to name a few.
• Swagger, Grafana, GitHub, XML/JSON, CI/CD

We are an engaged and ambitious team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. Most of the team works from our office in Solna, with additional developers based in the Philippines. We apply a hybrid working model, with at least 60% of working time spent at the office. For this role, we would welcome a Solution Architect who can be on site more frequently to support close collaboration. We also offer flexible working hours.

More About You

You are an experienced architect with solid expertise in cloud technologies, system development, and API development. You are comfortable navigating complex organizations and thrive in a role where you guide, inspire, and support your team. You have an academic degree in IT, or equivalent practical experience, and communicate fluently in both Swedish and English. Experience from the logistics industry is an advantage, as is an understanding of how emerging technologies, including AI, can be applied to create business value.
Above all, you are collaborative, strategic, and customer-focused. You communicate clearly and adapt your message to different audiences and levels of technical understanding.
