Job summary

Geosyntec in Gothenburg, Sweden, seeks an experienced EIA/Permitting Consultant to join our growing European team. The role focuses on leading environmental permit applications for industrial, infrastructure, mining, and energy projects, with client engagement and proposal development as part of the responsibilities.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of consulting experience in relevant sectors, strong teamwork, and fluency in Swedish and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, civil or environmental engineering, environmental science or related field.
• Fluency in Swedish and English required.
• Minimum 2 years as a consultant in contaminated land, energy/renewables, mining, industrial or infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support environmental permit applications aligning with Swedish legislation.
• Develop client relationships and assist with proposals.
• Attend meetings with clients, regulators and stakeholders to drive project success.
• Manage projects, budgets and schedules to ensure quality and profitability.
• Prepare technical reports and proposals reflecting technical excellence.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Ensure work meets contractual schedules and regulatory requirements.
• Occasional fieldwork.
