Job summary

Avanza Bank söker Engineering Manager till Customer Scalability i Tech. Du kommer vara ansvarig för 1–2 tvärfunktionella team och direktrapportera mjukvaruutvecklare, samtidigt som du översätter affärsmål till hållbar arkitektur och konkret genomförande.

Du balaserar affärsinsikter med teknisk riktning och bidrar till skalbar dataflöde för kund- och konto-livscykler med fokus på hög kvalitet och driftsäkerhet. Ledarskap i en snabb, samarbetsinriktad miljö uppskattas.

Qualifications

• Beprövad erfarenhet av direkt linjeledning och att leda mjukvaruingenjörer.
• Bakgrund i modern mjukvaruengineering, dataintensiva system.
• Förståelse för datakvalitet, systemarkitektur och väl utformade API:er.
• Relevant examen inom datavetenskap, teknik eller motsvarande erfarenhet.

Responsibilities

• Leda, coacha och stärka utvecklare i teamet samt ha personalansvar.
• Skapa optimala förutsättningar för högprestanda och kvalitativ teknisk leverans.
• Säkerställa att tekniska initiativ matchar produktstrategier och stödja teamen.
• Driva moln-evolution mot GCP och utforska AI-drivna arbetssätt.
• Stödja autonoma team i att utveckla egna arbetssätt och samarbeta genom insiktsdrivet arbete.

Our mission is to enable scalable customer growth without increasing operational costs at the same rate. As Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in creating vision, setting goals, and fostering high engagement in alignment with Avanza's strategy.

About The Role

The entire Product & Tech organization consists of around 35 development teams that collectively build our platform, services, and offerings. In your role as Engineering Manager, you will work closely with 1-2 cross-functional teams and have direct line management responsibility for the software developers.

This role is connected to the teams responsible for building and advancing Avanza's customer and account lifecycle. Our objective is to ensure that the entire organization has seamless access to high-quality, reliable, and up-to-date customer and account data whenever needed. You will balance business acumen with technical direction to deliver concrete value for both our customers and the company.

You Will Also Be Responsible For/work With

• Leading, coaching, and empowering developers in your team while taking full responsibility for line management and the work environment.
• Creating optimal conditions for a high-performing, healthy team and guiding them toward high-quality, efficient technical deliveries.
• Ensuring that technical initiatives align with product strategies and supporting teams in building robust, sustainable solutions.
• Driving our cloud evolution toward GCP and exploring AI-driven ways of working within team processes.
• Supporting autonomous teams in developing their own working methods while fostering an insight-led, collaborative environment.

We Would Love To See That You Have

• Proven experience in direct line management and leading software engineers.
• A background in modern software engineering, ideally with experience in data-intensive systems.
• A solid understanding of data quality, system architecture, and well-designed APIs.
• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

It Is a Plus If You Have

• Experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in leading through change and driving technical modernization initiatives.
• Curiosity or hands-on experience regarding AI tools and data-driven software development practices.
