Job summary

Bannerflow is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead 2–3 software engineering teams, ~4 engineers per team, guiding day-to-day and long-term tech direction. You will have full staff responsibility, including headcount planning, hiring, performance, and budgets, reporting to the VP of Technology as part of the Tech Leadership Team.

You will collaborate with Product and other teams to align priorities, drive modern engineering, and ensure reliable delivery.

We are now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead 2 or 3 of our software engineering teams (approx. 4 engineers per team) and play a central part in both the day-to-day and long-term success of the Tech department.

You will have full staff responsibility for your teams, including headcount planning, hiring, performance and budget ownership. You will report directly to our VP of Technology and be part of the Tech Leadership Team, helping shape the direction, priorities and development of the Technology department. You will also collaborate closely with leaders across Product and other parts of Bannerflow to strengthen alignment across the organization.

You Will

• Build and grow your teams through hiring, coaching, performance and career development, fostering a culture of trust, openness and accountability
• Champion modern product development and engineering practices, including the adoption of AI and agentic engineering across the development lifecycle, while maintaining a high bar for engineering excellence
• Own your teams' delivery and effectiveness, helping them navigate trade-offs, remove obstacles, and continuously improve their ability to deliver predictably and sustainably
• Work with Product Managers and other stakeholders, so teams make informed decisions grounded in customer needs and business outcomes
• Contribute to Technology's strategic direction as part of the Tech Leadership Team, owning organizational development and cross-functional initiatives
• Promote strong operational practices, helping teams learn from incidents and continuously improve platform reliability and resilience

So, what are we looking for?

• Fluent in English and Swedish, and eligible to work full-time in Stockholm without restrictions
• 5+ years in a role with direct people management responsibility (e.g. Engineering Manager or similar), with strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong track record of digital product development, with proven experience building delivery-strong, high-performing and engaged product teams
• Ability to inspire, coach and develop people, setting clear expectations, giving meaningful feedback, and holding teams accountable
• A clear view on how AI is transforming software development and product delivery, and a passion for modern engineering practices
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field
