Job summary

Capture Energy is seeking a Software Engineer to advance OT and Cloud integration on the Capture Controller in Stockholm or Fredrikstad. You’ll build core services, enable data flow to cloud infrastructure and support real-time energy optimization.

You’ll work with Go and Python, bridging PLC operations with cloud services, and collaborate across OT and IT teams. The role requires hands-on energy domain knowledge and a drive to ship in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Production experience in Go or Python with shipped code.
• Strong systems-thinking across state management, concurrency and real-time data handling.
• Hands-on experience with energy systems, BESS or battery management.
• Experience with industrial protocols or hardware integration.
• Comfort across OT and IT infrastructure layers.
• Willingness to learn Go and transition to it as primary language.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications running on the Capture Controller for energy optimization, state management and control logic.
• Communicate with TwinCAT via ADS to coordinate PLC operations and sensor data.
• Design data schemas and APIs for reliable bidirectional data exchange between controller and cloud.
• Architect a clean separation between real-time PLC functions and business logic.
• Collaborate with TwinCAT OT engineer and Cloud IT team to define data contracts.
• Build robust error handling, logging and monitoring for production control systems.
