Hitachi Energy in Västerås is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to enhance features in user-space applications on real-time Linux systems within intelligent electronic devices for substation automation.
You will work in a scrum team, collaborating across software and hardware disciplines to ensure performance and reliability of mission-critical embedded systems, with on-site work at Västerås office.
We are looking for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer with strong Linux expertise to join our software team at Hitachi Energy, Grid Automation Products in Västerås.
In this role, you will work on feature enhancement and quality improvements of user-space applications running on real-time Linux systems, in the scope of intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) for substation automation.
You will be part of a scrum team and will work closely with other software and hardware teams to ensure our mission-critical embedded systems meet stringent performance and reliability requirements. Our team operates using agile methodologies to foster collaboration, flexibility, and continuous improvement.
As this role involves close collaboration with colleagues across software and hardware development, it is an on-site position based at our Västerås office, requiring regular presence on-site.
