Job summary

Stockholm International School in Stockholm is seeking a Primary School Learning Assistant to support the classroom teacher during lessons and daily activities. The position runs 40 hours per week with a half-hour lunch break, and duties span before-school and after-school periods as needed.

You will help foster an inclusive learning environment, encourage student engagement, and provide individual support to students who need it, while contributing to the smooth operation of the school team and

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support for the classroom teacher.
• Encourage student engagement and participation.
• Lead small group discussions and activities.
• Support in keeping the classroom organized.
• Assist with before-school and end-of-day duties.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Substitute for the class teacher when needed (Remunerated at the initial teacher salary rate for those hours).
• Monitor safety and assist with traffic crossing and other duties as required.
