Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Gothenburg is seeking an ECU Node Owner & Verification Engineer to take ownership of ECU and embedded software development within the Driver Environment & Driver Assistance area.

You will lead component ownership, define requirements, and support system verification in rigs and vehicles, ensuring quality and timely delivery while collaborating in an agile setup.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical or Software Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in SW Component Owner roles.
• Experience in Driver Environment or Infotainment with hands-on verification in vehicle rigs.
• Proficient with automotive tools such as KOLA, Vector tools, System Weaver and CANalyzer.
• T-shaped, hands-on, self-driven and able to work in an agile PI planning environment.

Responsibilities

• Define, plan, and follow up ECU and ESW development with internal and external suppliers.
• Coordinate, document, and release new ECU and ESW versions.
• Verify ESW and ECUs according to the V-model (V2/V3).
• Support System & Function verification in test rigs and vehicles, EUF ownership.

Job description

Are you an experienced Electrical & Electronics Engineer looking to take ownership of cutting-edge software and hardware components in the automotive domain? We are seeking an ECU Node Owner & Verification Engineer to join the Driver Environment & Driver Assistance in Gothenburg.

In this role, you will focus on the Infotainment area, ensuring that Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and Embedded Software (ESW) fulfill technical, quality, time, and cost requirements. Alongside component ownership, you will actively support the team with System & Function verification in rigs/vehicles and End-User Function (EUF) responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Component & Software Ownership (Node Owner):
• Define, plan, and follow up on ECU and ESW development with internal and external suppliers (short- and long-term).
• Ensure ECUs and ESW meet technical, quality, time, and cost objectives.
• Create and maintain Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and Technical Requirements for applicable nodes.
• Coordinate, document, and release new ECU and ESW versions

Verification & Cross-Functional Support

• Ensure ESW and ECUs are verified according to the correct level in the V-model (V2/V3).
• Secure product quality and readiness before official release.
• Support the team in System & Function verification in test rigs and actual vehicles, System Design, and EUF ownership.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, with mandatory experience from SW Component Owner (Node Owner) roles.
• Domain Knowledge: Background in Driver Environment or Infotainment systems, including hands-on verification experience in vehicle or system rig environments.
• Tools & Systems: Proficiency with automotive development tools such as KOLA, Vector tools, System Weaver, and CANalyzer.
• Mindset & Soft Skills:
  • Solid T-shaped profile with a practical, hands-on, and problem-solving "can-do" attitude.
  • Self-driven with strong capability to manage your own deliverables.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in an agile setup (e.g., PI plannings).
