Job summary

Biner Consulting is seeking a Digital Product Manager for an assignment in Gothenburg with a global financial services client. The role requires strong on-site presence in Gothenburg and coordination across cross-functional teams, markets and platforms.

Over time, the assignment may lead to a permanent position with the client. You will own the insurance product end-to-end, setting direction, driving design, pricing and integrations, and ensuring compliant flows through contract management

Qualifications

• At least ten years in product management or product ownership.
• Solid experience with insurance products, ideally bundled with financing, leasing or motor insurance.
• Experience partnering with vendors to build scalable solutions.
• International experience with different regulations and market maturity.
• Ability to align senior stakeholders toward a shared goal.

Responsibilities

• Own the insurance product end-to-end at roadmap level.
• Set one product direction and maintain it against market variation.
• Drive product design, pricing, integrations and service levels with insurers, brokers and partners.
• Ensure insurance flows through the client's contract management platforms from quote to reporting.
• Collaborate with business, Digital & IT, vendors and markets; report progress, risks and decisions to leadership.
• Measure outcomes such as profitability and customer experience; adjust the roadmap accordingly.

We are looking for a Digital Product Manager for an assignment with one of our clients in Gothenburg, a global financial services company serving the commercial vehicle and machinery industry. The role comes with a clear mandate, high expectations and an international scope.

You join Biner as a consultant and step straight into the assignment. The role requires a strong on site presence in Gothenburg, where you coordinate cross-functional collaboration and build close relationships. Over time, the assignment can lead to a permanent position with the client.

About the role

Our client offers financing, leasing, rental and Equipment as a Service in markets worldwide. Insurance is part of that offer, but today it is handled differently from market to market. Your job is to turn it into one common product.

You own that product end to end at roadmap level: what it offers, how it fits into every finance and rental journey, and how it scales across markets and platforms. Product owners and stable teams own delivery. You own the direction and are accountable for the results.

What you will do

• Own the vision, roadmap and business case for insurance offered alongside loans, leases, rental and Equipment as a Service.
• Set one product direction and hold it when markets push for local variation.
• Drive product design, pricing, integrations and service levels with insurers, brokers and other partners.
• Ensure insurance flows correctly through the client's contract management platforms, from quote and premium billing to claims data and reporting.
• Align business, Digital & IT, vendors and markets, and report progress, risks and decisions to leadership.
• Partner with compliance to keep the product aligned with insurance distribution rules in every market.
• Measure outcomes such as attachment rate, customer experience and profitability, and adjust the roadmap based on the results.

Who you are

You take ownership, make decisions and follow through. You work well at pace and in an international setting. You earn the trust of partners and senior leadership, and you understand the commercial side well enough to know that the numbers have to add up.

You have

• At least ten years of professional experience, including several years in product management or product ownership.
• Solid experience with insurance products, ideally embedded in or bundled with financing, leasing or motor insurance.
• A track record of working with partners and vendors to build solutions that scale across markets.
• Experience from international environments with different regulations and levels of maturity.
• The ability to align senior stakeholders and lead teams toward a shared goal.
• Professional English and Swedish, written and spoken.

It's a plus if you have

• Knowledge of the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) or similar regulation.
• Experience from captive finance, asset finance, leasing or the automotive industry.
• Hands-on experience with contract management platforms such as FIS Asset Finance, Solifi, Alfa or Sofico.
