Job summary

Scala is seeking a hands-on DevOps professional to join our Varberg team. You will design and maintain robust pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with developers to enable fast, reliable software delivery for our Digital In-store experiences.

You will work with Azure, AWS, container tech (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC, while focusing on automation, monitoring, and security best practices. Swedish and English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on DevOps, system engineering, or cloud infrastructure experience.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
• Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Bicep, Terraform).
• Solid understanding of networking, monitoring, and security best practices.
• Fluent proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust DevOps pipelines and infrastructure to support scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers to streamline code deployment, automate processes, and improve system performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in DevOps practices, IaC, and security across environments.
• Operate and maintain infrastructure based on Node.js, NGINX, and Azure, including co-located virtual servers.
• Monitor, deploy, and update systems using Octopus Deploy, Azure CLI, and Bicep.
• Support migration from Bitbucket to GitHub, including repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
• Create and manage build pipelines in TeamCity and Jenkins for efficient deployments.
• Set up and optimize developer environments in GitHub and related tools to boost productivity.
