Job summary

Redeploy is seeking a Data Engineer to own the data platforms across the Nordics, collaborating with platform, analytics and GenAI developers. You’ll work hands-on with Python, SQL and PySpark, shaping lakehouse architectures and Kimball modelling for production-ready data and AI workflows.

You’ll join cross-functional delivery teams, gain exposure to insurance, manufacturing, and logistics use cases, and have opportunities to grow into senior technical or architectural roles while delivering

Qualifications

• Background in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent university degree.
• Strong programming skills in Python, solid experience in SQL and Spark, sound understanding of software engineering principles.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions (Azure preferred, AWS also relevant).
• Solid understanding of data structures, modelling and processing.
• Familiarity with data architectures like Lakehouse and Medallion.
• AI-assisted development – you use tools like Claude, Code, Codex in daily work.

Overview

You own the data layer, ingestion, transformation, and modelling that makes analytics, reporting and AI possible. This consultant role spans across the Nordics with clients from financial services to manufacturing. You'll work in cross‑functional delivery teams alongside platform, analytics and GenAI developers, each owning a distinct layer of the stack. Certifications are valued. You have freedom to grow your way.

What you'll do

As a Data Engineer, you’ll build the data platforms that everything else depends on, from raw source systems to production‑ready models consumed by analysts, ML pipelines and business users. Your work involves hands‑on Python and SQL, heavy on PySpark, grounded in Kimball modelling and lakehouse architecture. You shape what gets built and deliver it with clients.

Examples of work:

• Building a Kafka‑based ingestion framework for a major insurance group, onboarding thousands of tables so downstream teams can use the data they need.
• Lifting an on‑prem data warehouse into a cloud‑based Databricks lakehouse for a Nordic logistics company, standing up CI/CD, integration, modelling and QA, then scaling for new use cases.
• Auditing a manufacturing company’s data platform against best practices, delivering a migration plan, then staying on to bring in new sources, optimise workflows and build out analytics models.

The bar for what “done” means is high: production‑grade, observable, secure and used.
