Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities in Ljungaverk, Sweden. You will perform hands-on tasks across server racks, cabling, and hardware troubleshooting, with on-call availability for urgent requests.

The role requires experience with data center infrastructure, server hardware, networking, and strong English communication. Proximity to local data centers and reliable transportation are essential for this on-site

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Ljungaverk, Sweden to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)
• Server rack installation and decommissioning
• Cross-connect and patch panel management
• Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Visual inspections and inventory audits
• Escort and access coordination for client visits
• Emergency response and on-call availability

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests

Nice to Have

• Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
• Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)
• Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)
