Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, power, plumbing, fire control, and related systems within a mission-critical data center environment. You will support ongoing operations by performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident response.

The role requires strong technical leadership, vendor coordination, and adherence to safety and change-management processes.

Qualifications

• Understanding of relevant codes, compliance regulations, and safe work requirements.
• Experience maintaining critical infrastructure in large properties or data centers.
• Background in mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance for mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance of HVAC, power, plumbing, fire control, roofing, and related systems.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure work meets Equinix requirements and approvals.
• Manage change requests, safety standards, and quality procedures for maintenance activities.
• Develop training materials and share knowledge with other Data Center staff.
