Job summary

Volvo Cars is seeking a Data Architect to shape the future data landscape within the SWEP Software Factory and the broader Volvo Cars Engineering organization. You will steer data pipelines, analytics platforms, and dashboards to enable data-driven decisions across engineering teams.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, design scalable data architectures, and drive governance and quality across data initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent required.
• 15+ years of software development with a data-oriented mindset and extensive analytics background.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural alignment across Software Factory and broader organization.
• Guide architecture of data pipelines, storage, APIs, and analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with Requirements management and Traceability topics.
• Harmonise data visualisations to support program management and developer experience.
• Manage stakeholders and gather requirements across Engineering.
• Support technical roadmap development for data analytics, CI, and testing pipelines.
• Assist dashboards covering KPIs and quality metrics.
