Winthrop Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Lead to oversee full-scale data centre deliveries across Europe. Reporting to the Project Director, the role emphasizes leadership, cost control, and effective stakeholder coordination.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while partnering with design and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; capable of leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Commercially astute with a strong understanding of project financial management and cost control.

Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Lead will be responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and technical expertise, with an emphasis on effective communication and stakeholder coordination.

Duties:

• Manage overall project cost, schedule, and budget from inception through to completion.
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless execution of project activities.
• Analyse, track, and manage critical milestone activities to prevent schedule delays and ensure timely delivery.
• Review and evaluate construction proposals, pricing, and scopes of work.
• Lead and facilitate client meetings and other required project coordination meetings.
• Monitor and report on factors that influence construction costs, preparing data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of construction procurement methods and manage long-lead equipment delivery schedules.
• Review, validate, and audit cost estimates prepared by subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Support engineering and design decisions related to cost and budget during design-build changes.
• Track and verify equipment availability in line with the project schedule.
• Coordinate and oversee scheduling consultant reviews and ensure integration with project controls.
• Review and approve invoices, payment applications, and retention payments.
• Manage the handover process to the client, including close-out documentation, warranties, and final deliverables.
