Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Connectivity Test Engineer to validate automotive connectivity, perform telematics testing, engage stakeholders, and provide lab support in collaboration with Volvo engineering teams and HCLTech delivery teams.

The role requires hands-on testing across LTE/5G, IMS, VoLTE/VoNR, eCall, and data services, with experience in network simulators and defect tracking tools.

Job description

HCLTech is looking for an experienced Connectivity Test Engineer to support. The role will be responsible for connectivity validation, telematics testing, stakeholder engagement, and lab support activities while working closely with Volvo engineering teams and HCLTech's delivery team.

Technical Skills Required:

• Technologies: LTE / LTE-A, 5G NR (NSA/SA),IMS, VoLTE, VoNR,SMS,Data Services, eCall / Emergency Services,
• Hands-on experience on Network Simulators: Keysight- UXM, Anite 9000 ; Rohde & Schwarz- CMW500, CMX500
• Defects management tool: JIRA

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5-10+ years of experience in telecom, connectivity, or automotive testing.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to analyze protocol logs and identify root causes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
• Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Connectivity & Telematics Validation
• Validate automotive connectivity solutions across LTE, 5G, IMS, VoLTE, VoNR, eCall, and data connectivity services.
• Perform verification and troubleshooting of TCAM (Telematics and Connectivity Antenna Module) functionality.
• Support connectivity feature validation across multiple MNO profiles and network scenarios.
• Analyze test results and identify defects impacting system functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Support pre-certification and operator-specific validation activities.
