Job summary

Coop Sverige – Together we make food-Sweden sustainable – is expanding its Data Platform team. We seek a Data Engineer to build scalable, cloud-native data solutions on Azure with Databricks at the core.

You will design, implement and optimize data pipelines powering analytics and AI across Coop. Join a Nordic retailer with 4.2 million members, offering hybrid work in Solna and a culture that values curiosity, collaboration and responsible data governance while delivering high-quality data

Qualifications

• Proficient experience with the Azure data platform – Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS).
• Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark and SQL.
• Experience with streaming/batch pipelines and data orchestration (Databricks Workflows, Unity Catalog).
• Knowledge of data governance, security and cost-efficient cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using Azure-native tech.
• Build robust data ingestion from multiple sources and APIs.
• Develop Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) within the data lakehouse.
• Implement streaming with Kafka, Event Hub and Service Bus.
• Develop transformations with Databricks, PySpark and Delta Lake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products.
• Enable CI/CD with Azure DevOps and IaC (Terraform).
• Drive performance, reliability and cost-efficiency of the platform.
• Ensure data governance, monitoring and operational excellence.
