Job summary

Ericsson AB in Gothenburg seeks a driven software engineer to help build the software production system powering millions of daily users. You will own and evolve complex CI/CD pipelines, contribute to scalable automation, and collaborate with agile teams to deliver high-quality artifacts quickly.

You should enjoy solving hard problems, be proficient in GNU/Linux, Python, shell scripting, and modern version control. Experience with C++, Rust or Java is a plus.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with GNU/Linux, bash, Python, Git.
• Experience with Scrum/Kanban processes.
• Programming experience in one or more of C++, Rust, Java.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain and develop a complex CI/CD system producing thousands of artifacts per day.
• Work in an agile team that owns end-to-end responsibility for multiple systems and tools.
• Collaborate closely with other developers inside and outside the team.
• Innovate and create new automation solutions.

Join our TeamAbout this opportunity:We are looking for a driven engineer to join our team and help build the software production system for something millions of people use every day for one of our most profound needs as human beings – communication.We work with radio base stations, at the core of mobile communication, enablers of emerging technologies. Our products are involved in anything from streaming video, coordinating IoT-enabled factories, to old-school voice communication like calling grandma. You will play an important part in our magnificent team, implementing new features, improving performance, and building elegant CI/CD solutions that keep the product code flowing for an enormous number of developers.Our CI system goes beyond building and populating linear pipelines. We deliver massive amounts of artifacts daily, with a large contingent of CI engineers supporting just our part of the full product build. We do not write testcases, we enable our many developers to do so themselves, while we build the system that runs uncountable numbers of tests every day. The end products each integrate code from a collection of developers the size of a small city.
