Job description

We are looking for a .NET C# system developer to work in our development team at Skapa. The systems we produce are highly advanced and with a lot of technical knowledge going into them. You will be working closely with our current system developers. You will be given the opportunity to develop various types of systems. You will be working with full-stack development, meaning that it's great if you have experience from software development, web development, MS SQL databases, integration between systems, etc.

We always work in a project form, meaning that we work closely with our customers, but from our own office or home. From the start, you will work at our office on Kungsportsavenyen in Göteborg, and once you are up to speed, you can work both from home and from the office (hybrid). We can’t offer relocation or visa sponsorship for this role, so you’ll need to already have the right to live and work in Sweden.

Our way of working:

You need to be able to understand the customer requirements and transform them into usable functionality that the customer appreciates. We work in an agile way with daily meetings to ensure that we keep track of our and our customers’ end goals. You will be working in a team, with a lot of responsibility for delivering your own parts of each project. You will work closely with our customers, so you need to be fluent in both Swedish.

Skapa has been around for close to 30 years. We have worked with all types of system development, from both mobile and desktop apps, to sales configurators and various types of web systems. We have developed projects for customers such as Volvo Penta, BERG Propulsion, CM Hammar, Greencarrier, etc. We are a small and very specialized consultancy company. 1. Development Environment and Tools

• Visual Studio: Primary IDE for .NET development. Proficient in debugging, refactoring, NuGet package management, extensions, and interaction with Azure DevOps.

2. Databases and Database Modeling

• SQL Server / Database Modeling: Design databases with ER diagrams, normalization (1NF–3NF), indexing, stored procedures, and triggers. Use and create stored procedures for queries, joins, aggregations, and transactions.
• Entity Framework for code-first or database-first modeling, LINQ for query writing.

3. Language and Core Technologies

• C#: Generics, interfaces, delegates/events, async/await for asynchronous code, lambdas, and extension methods. LINQ for data manipulation in C#.
• SQL: T-SQL for more advanced query writing

4. Application architectures and frameworks

• Forms / WPF (Desktop): Windows Forms for simple GUI applications; WPF for, data-driven applications with XAML for UI design and data binding.
• MVC/MVVM: (Web) MVC for web (Model-View-Controller in ASP.NET Core); MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) for WPF or desktop applications for separation of concerns.

5. Web services and APIs

• Web services / RESTful APIs. Handling of HTTP methods (GET/POST/PUT/DELETE),

6. Other Relevant Areas

• Frontend frameworks: Bootstrap / AdminLTE or similar for styling / responsiveness.
• Dependency injection (Unity / MVVMLight)
• Deployment and Operation: IIS for web hosting
• Security and Best Practices: Authentication, Authorization, Encryption.
