Job summary

Nynas invites applications for a Laboratory Technician to join the Bitumen Quality Control laboratory in Nynäshamn. You will perform analyses on batch and production samples, document results, and support production with reliable data to improve product quality and compliance.

We value a structured, quality-focused professional with a chemistry degree, 2+ years in lab or production, knowledge of standard methods (ASTM/ISO/IEC), and fluency in Swedish and English.

Qualifications

• A college degree in chemistry or similar
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory or production environment
• Strong experience in chemical and quantitative analysis
• Familiarity with standard methods (e.g. ASTM, ISO, IEC)
• Experience with laboratory instruments
• Good IT skills (MS Office, LIMS, databases)
• Fluency in Swedish and English
• A valid driving license
• Experience in quality management is considered beneficial
• Knowledge of mineral oil or bitumen products is a merit

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analyses on batch, production, and test samples
• Interpret, document, and report results according to our management system
• Investigate and support resolution of deviations and non-conformities
• Calibrate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting on laboratory instruments
• Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory methods and testing expertise
• Actively promote and contribute to a safe working environment (HSSE)
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with Nynas Management System (NMS) and LEAN principles
• Support laboratory housekeeping and maintenance
