Avalanche Studios Group is seeking a Backend Programmer to join our Tech Foundation team as an embedded engineer dedicated to theHunter: Call of the Wild. You will design and build scalable backend services that power millions of players in our self-published title.

Based in Stockholm, the role blends hands-on coding with architecture work, collaborating with cloud engineers, DevOps, and frontend/backend developers to push high-performance games infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of backend programming in Go, Python, and C#.
• Extensive experience with storage technologies such as MySQL, NoSQL, Redis or Memcached.
• Extensive experience running services in commercial clouds or Kubernetes.
• Excellent verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the next generation of backend services powering our games.
• Balance hands-on programming with technical strategy and architecture.
• Collaborate with senior developers to shape long-term roadmaps and core domains.
• Work with cross-team stakeholders to ensure reliability and performance of services.
