Job summary

Voyado is seeking an Area Architect to shape the technical direction of the Communication Area. You’ll work with engineering teams, tech leads, Area Leadership, and fellow architects to balance today’s delivery with long-term platform evolution.

You’ll review proposals, identify risks, and drive scalable, reliable designs across distributed systems and messaging, supporting personalization, delivery, and tracking across Voyado’s Engage platform.

Qualifications

• We believe you have architectural leadership experience across multiple teams or domains.
• Deep experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture, including asynchronous processing, message queuing, delivery guarantees, retry strategies, idempotency, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with communication or messaging systems at scale, covering content creation, personalization, scheduling, delivery, and tracking.
• Experience designing integration architectures involving external systems or providers such as email, SMS, or similar delivery services.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction of the Communication Area with tech leads and Area Leadership.
• Guide teams through architectural trade-offs around scalability, reliability, performance, developer experience, and maintainability.
• Review significant technical proposals and strengthen designs before decisions are made.
• Identify emerging technical risks and foundational investments for the years ahead.
• Facilitate architectural discussions across teams to create shared direction.
• Coach tech leads and senior engineers to strengthen architectural thinking and leadership.
• Collaborate with Voyado architects to ensure the Communication Area fits into the Engage platform.
